Baby Sling

Here's another sewing project I somehow managed to finish last month, despite living in the perpetual cloud of fatigue that was this pregnancy.

Last month I made a baby sling, using this fabric and roughly following the directions from this lady. I tried it for the first time today, and it was perfectly suited for this wee one, my latest creation and precious gift.

Faith Susannah, 7 lb 1 oz, born on March 24. Welcome, little one! I love you.

Good job, Honey. Perfect. Well done.

The sling is nice, too. ;-)

Yay! Very cool. It's nice to be able to attach them to yourself that way. :-) Tonight I went on a walk with Rose in the Snugli and Silas on a leash - it was nice not to get out the stroller. I think Silas is having a growth spurt though, he keeps tripping all over himself! How is Violet doing with everything?

Just beautiful ~ oh yeah ... the sling too ;-) Congrats to you - hope you are all doing well. I was a big baby wearer and one of my ~favorite~ carriers was the Kozy Carrier b/c you could wear your baby on your back. They have a web site (made here in good ol' VA) but if you are feeling adventurous you could make your own - Sew Liberated has a pattern. You can find all this stuff on the right sidebar of my blog. I didn't start wearing my little fella on my back until he was about 7 months but he hung out there until he was over a 1 1/2!

The sling is adorable but not as cute as who's inside! She's so precious! Congratulations.

What a sweet little baby! Makes me want to have another one! Well. eventually. The sling is neat too. I'm gonna look up that site, also Wardrobe Refashion looks interesting! This is first time I've actually come to your site, Corrie got it to me on FeedBlitz. It's really really cute!
